Policy Owner: Head of IT
Effective Date: 01-Oct-2026
Purpose
To ensure the responsible and secure use of artificial intelligence ("AI") tools and services for Betty, and to protect its brand, intellectual property, technology, and data. This policy establishes requirements for approving AI tools, protecting information shared with them, and reviewing AI outputs.
Scope
In this policy, “Betty” means Betty Gaming Inc. and all of its subsidiaries, regardless of their jurisdiction of incorporation. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and other persons performing work for or on behalf of Betty. It covers all AI tools and services used for that work, including generative AI assistants, AI coding assistants, and AI features embedded in third-party software.
Policy
Betty supports the use of AI tools where such use is secure, transparent, and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and this policy. Accountability for all work products and decisions created with AI assistance remains with Betty personnel.
Approved AI Tools
- Only AI tools approved by the Head of IT may be used for company work. The Head of IT maintains the Approved AI Tools page in Notion.
- The Head of IT shall evaluate new AI tools and AI features within existing tools before approving their use, including the vendor’s data handling, data retention, and model training practices.
- Only company-managed accounts may be used for company work. Personal AI accounts are not permitted. The Head of IT manages account access and subscriptions.
- Standard subscriptions are provided by default. Premium subscriptions require a business justification and approval from both the user’s direct manager and the Head of IT before activation.
- Approved AI tools must be configured so that Betty data is not used to train vendor models. Tools that cannot disable model training on company data shall not be approved. The Head of IT shall verify this setting before approval and during periodic reviews.
Data Protection
- Confidential data may only be entered into AI tools approved for that type of data. This includes customer data, personally identifiable information (PII), and company financial data.
- Passwords, authentication credentials, and secrets must not be entered into AI tools.
- Information about Betty’s business and its players, and access to such information, shall only be shared with AI tools where needed for the user’s assigned work.
- Users shall share only the information and access needed for the task.
AI in Software Development
- AI-generated code shall meet the same quality, security, and testing standards as human-written code.
